MOVING VEHICLE ACCIDENT PROCEDURE
 Immediately check for injuries. Assess yourself and any passengers for injuries and seek medical attention if
necessary.
 Call the police. Dial 911 if there are injuries that might require medical attention. Otherwise, dial the nonemergency
number (901) 545-2677. Report the accident even if the damage appears minor.
 Promptly notify your O􀆯ice about the accident (901) 454-1855
 Exchange information with the other driver. Gather phone numbers, email addresses, vehicle descriptions, and
insurance details from all drivers involved. Stay organized.
 Document the incident by photographing the accident scene, the damage to all vehicles involved, and any
injuries.
 Seek out witnesses and collect their contact details immediately.
 Avoid admitting fault at the scene. Do not apologize or make statements that could be interpreted as accepting
blame.
Never leave the scene of an accident
Leaving the scene of an accident is considered a hit-and-run and is illegal.
STATIONARY VEHICLE ACCIDENT PROCEDURE
If the incident involves a parked vehicle with no one inside, the Driver must:
 Stop immediately
 Assess the damage to both vehicles and take lots of photos
 Leave a detailed note on the other vehicle’s windshield and include the Company name and phone number.
 Depending on the severity of the damage, consider reporting the incident to the police non-emergency number
(901) 545-2677.
